weekend in paris.

i hope you don't mind while i indulge in a few photos from our trip to paris a few weekends ago. todd's parents were in town, and paris is so close that we had to take them. just had to. ;)

i've been there a few times in the last year and i tell you what, that city never gets old. there is so much to see and do. and the charm is unlike any other city. and it happens to be extra charming when there a extra hands helping watch our busy 2 year old so we can snag a kiss or two uninterrupted. it is the city of love after all.
***our first time into the louvre, and it was not a disappointment. i don't know what i was expecting, but it far exceeded those expectations. it is THE louvre after all. duh, casey.***

***the hoards around the tiny mona lisa were unreal. ha! it makes me chuckle just thinking about it now***

***this is the smile of a well-rested girl who napped the whole time at the museum. score!***

***our first two days were awfully drizzly and wet. why did i pack leather flats again? despite that, it was still enjoyable. and who doesn't love a little girl in an oversized rain poncho?***

***and now for an obligatory photo of pastries from angelina's. oh so pretty and ohhh so delicious.***

***harper rode on some of the most beautiful carousels i've ever seen. two-levels with such gorgeous details. her life is a fairy tale and she doesn't even realize it.***

paris vs new york.

alert! alert! did you hear? new york city was just named fashion capital of the world, reclaiming the #1 position from london. and paris finished #2 for the spot overall. i love fashion week (or really, fashion month)! and with paris fashion week starting tomorrow, its only fair that we have a little friendly competition between paris and new york. these smart and witty graphics by vahram muratyan will help us do the job.

what do you say—paris or new york?

{soooo many more prints to view & love here. there is even a coffee-table book!}

with love, from paris {part 2}

no trip to paris would be complete without 49383 photos of the eiffel tower, so merry christmas! one afternoon, we had some mutual friends come over for a few hours so todd and i could get out alone. i highly recommend this. :) we hopped on bikes and toured around. it's amazing how much smaller the city is by bike! we went to lunch, rode around the grounds of the eiffel tower, up to the arc de triomph, and then back to the little one! it was short, but oh so sweet!

***after picking up harps, we took a walk through the latin quarter and ended up in the beautiful luxembourg gardens. harps was eager to feed every duck and fish in sight.***

***she's been on this little kick of running around with her arms behind her back. it makes her mama swoon!***

with love, from paris {part 1}

we're back from paris, and it was such a great trip! if we're being honest and all, i was certain that this trip with the kiddo wouldn't be as good as with my girlfriends {call me a bad mom, but we're being honest, remember?} but anyways... it was just as good, if not better! and it was a dream having hubs there and experiencing the city of love the right way...with my love.

now, i had thought i lost all my photos of this trip, but i was able to recover them from the deep, dark chambers of my hard drive, so excuse me if you get sick of my posts, but i am just happy to have something to share!!

***arriving in paris, we headed straight for the louvre and tuileries. there was no better and more gorgeous place for harper to run off her energy from the train ride ***

***like i said, she was running it off!***

***every summer in paris, a full-on beach complete with sand, play toys and seating is set up along the seine. we were all in seine-side paradise.***

 ***musée rodin has been on my must-see list since my last visit, and it didn't disappoint! the sculptures, the gardens...everything! it was blissful.***
