i hope you had a great weekend! we had one of those all-around pretty solid weekends. after putting harper down friday night, we had a little date-night in, christmas-themed of course! :) todd made some wassail to simmer on the stovetop while i tried my hand at ebelskivers. have you heard of them? my friend gave me an authentic pan, and i'd been itching to make them. they're a traditional danish pancake that you… wait for, wait for it… fill with chocolate or jam or syrup. or all of the above! and if that isn't enough, you can sprinkle some powdered sugar on top. i mean, come on, really! they were so fun to make too.
a few other things that happened this weekend—
***i had this cute little girl join me in bed bright and early saturday morning. i always love when she wants to come cuddle, although to be honest, she really just wants to use me to get into my sheets and hide.***
***walks through hyde park are always high on my weekend-priority list. especially walks by the albert memorial. i never get sick of looking at it. it's fun letting harper run wild and play in the leaves, run through puddles, see puppies. we even saw a fox run by us! which, by the way, are all over the place. quite a few times we've had foxes on our street and even onto our stoop! they are so not afraid of people, which is terrifying.***
***once again, harper was less than enthusiastic about santa this year. dang it! for a girl who's so outgoing, she really gets santa stage fright! she stuck around long enough to grab her present and run to a safe distance to open it.***
love the yellow (green?) sweater! where is it from?
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's a recent from H&M.
Deletei always wanted to try ebelskivers. they sound too good to be true.
ReplyDeletesounds like a wonderful weekend. didn't know there was a central park in london.
Whoops! I meant Hyde Park. You can take the girl out of NY, but you can't take NY out of the girl.:)
