a peek into our week {or two}.

the last few weeks have been fun-filled with all our travel adventures. unfortunately todd had to stay back in london so he's not in a single photo. which is awfully sad to see. but here's what we've been up to:

// the perot science museum in dallas is absolutely amazing. so magical. and clean. AND $20/person to get into. say what?! i've gotten to use to all these free museums in london and nyc. outrageous pricing set aside, it was pretty cool.

// splash pads galore in the 'burbs. too bad this chick stood at the edge of the water the entire time!

// papa teaching harps the ways of texan cooking—anything big and red will do :)

// the last of the wedding festivities as we celebrate in dallas.

// one of my favorite museums of all time is the dallas world aquarium. it's a jungle/aquarium/zoo mix. all with a really impressive set up and a must-see if ever in dallas.

// my mom is the most kind, sweet, and gorgeous woman. seriously. i love that woman more than anything, and it meant the world that i could spend so much time with her.

// i now know where harper gets her monkey skills. it's scary.

going to the chapel...

hello, and happy thursday!! we've been on holiday for the last two weeks and every day has felt like the weekend. it's a nice and unusual feeling. we're also completely cured of our jet lag and even sleeping in!! which is another nice and unusual feeling.

so as you can probably tell by the photos i have some exciting news—the last of us lucero kiddos got married off last week. woooot! i love weddings. it was such a beautiful day. and chase and kimberly were just glowing! i was glowing too, but i'm pretty sure it was just that arizona sweat talking. the whole day harper's cheeks were rosy red. neither of us are use to all that heat.

we had so much fun with all our family, and i'm happy we had a reason to get together and celebrate. and celebrate we did! we partied into the night. and seriously, if you haven't been to a lucero reception, you're not living. :)

the wedding and other UT favorites.

here is the last and final part to my series of utah photos. i could not forget the most special part of our trip and the reason we were there. the wedding of my brother and his sweet new bride. are they not the most gorgeous couple you have ever laid your eyes on? janelle is such a great addition to the family, and i am thankful to call her my sister. well done, ry!

weddings + the y + tea parties.

once we arrived to utah it was more weddings and family! two things i love. my sister-in-law was the most gorgeous and happy bride. i mean, just look at her! and harper and her cousins made for adorable flower girls. harper was happy 99% of the time, but can we just note the photo below? one of these flower girls is not like the others. oh harps...it was a long day. love ya, girl.

***i'm pretty sure we spent every waking hour outside. there's nothing like picnicking under Y mountain***

***harps and her cousins getting into the cougar spirit***

***not many girls get to have tea parties with their great grandmas. this melts my heart***

beating the heat.

i'm finally getting around to sharing some photos from our trip to arizona & utah. arizona was our first stop, and the heat was a nice warm welcome. oh how we've missed short sleeves and a few beads of sweat. our week was full of wedding activities, cousin time, great mexican food, and a day at the lake. always a day at the lake.

***no better signs of a good time than a blurry photo and missing shoe***
