Happy father's day to the one true madman in my life!

Some of my most unforgettable memories have been made with you—some may say it's because I was stuck under your roof for the first 18 years of my life, but I think it's just cause you're one cool guy. For example, when you made me wear that horrible bunny outfit and hop around in your office passing out candy for Easter...wasn't too happy about that, but now all I can do is laugh. Or when I was 8 and we got all dolled up for a black-tie event. We took pictures together on the stairs, and I felt like such a grown up. I was the only kid in that place, but we sure made a great pair! Or when you took me to San Francisco and we rented that really cool Lincoln town car. I thought it was the most expensive car on the street because it displayed how many of miles we had left 'til fill-up. I felt like a star. Or when my friends only came over to spend the night because they knew you would entertain them the whole evening...oh, how true that is.

I saw these dolls last night and just started crying because of the memories I have of you bringing them back for me! I had them until their eyes fell off!

I love you so much! Thank you for being you. And happy father's day!

us. tomorrow.

Yep, that's right! Starting noon tomorrow we'll be frolicking through the beautiful waters of Cancun! We're excited to go for a week with Randy and Stacie—our neighbors from Provo. It'll be a great vacation before Todd begins his job at JPMorgan in July and the real world truly begins.

And, while out there, I get to celebrate my golden birthday. 22! Doesn't get better than that!

And don't worry, I've brought my new birthday Polaroid to document.

apollo theatre.

Last night, my bro Ryan and Dayna were in town so we all went to
Amateur Night at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem. This is where
Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, James Brown, and Marvin Gaye
all launched their careers.

There was an awesome 6 year old break dancer,
big mama gospel singer, magician + break dancer,
14 year old saxophonist, and many many
more talented "amateurs", although they didn't seem so amateur.

a beautiful place for a beautiful city.

Central Park is quickly becoming one of my favorite
places to go in the city. It has such a different feel than the rest
of the hustle and bustle of the city.
Quite relaxing for a lovely Sunday afternoon.

This trip, Todd even found a great place to fly fish!
Who knew he'd be using his fly pole more in NYC than UT!?

i have room in my heart for two things...

Todd and Chocolate!

Ok ok, Todd's area is way bigger. . . promise.

So we went to the Willy Wonka's restaurant of chocolate,
called Max Brenner. It's got a very cool, ambience and
the food is rich, delicious, and...chocolatey!

They also have these very cool chocolate shots things.
Let's just say I've modified my birthday list.

star findings.

I need to keep Chase and Syd in the back of my pocket
and become a paparazzi.
Within 2 days we ran into two awards shows and movie filmings.

I assured Sydney this was not the NYC norm.

Chase couldn't stop talking about how she winked at him.
He's in love.

good 'ol soul food.

About a month ago, Stanton and Rubi introduced us to
some legit soul food in Harlem called Amy Ruths
When the menu items are named Rev. Al Sharpton and The Ludacris,
you know it's gotta be good.

Just had to bring the gang back for some chicken & waffles!

light up the bridge.

After all the rain cleared, we took a lovely walk
to the middle of the Brooklyn Bridge,
walking the whole way would have been asking too much.

The lights were so beautiful, and the boys had fun doing "boy"
things off the Brooklyn Bridge...
