autumn in the village.

trees are turning, weather is cooling, and we are enjoying all of it.

sleepy hollow.

to get in the halloween spirit, we enjoyed a very spooky excursion with friends up to sleepy hollow. our first stop was made at the sleepy hollow cemetery where we tip-toed/ran like crazies through the spooky headstones of andrew carnegie, the rockafeller brothers, elizabeth arden, and washington irving.

 we then trekked up to van cortland manor to see the great jack o’lantern blaze, featuring over 4,000 individually hand-carved, illuminated pumkins! it was amazing! there were fields and fields of sunflowers, dinosaurs, slithering snakes, underwater creatures, and spider webs.

this last week we received a special halloween delivery.

WITCHES BISCUITS.

despite the ingredients, they tasted a lot like pumpkin cookies 

and were mmm mmm good!

I recently went on a little photoshoot around the park with the most beautiful couple EVER!

 {Don't you agree?}

Brit and Greg are getting married in San Diego and wanted an NYC-themed 

guest sign-in book to take with them.

What a great idea, hey?! If you can't come to NYC, we'll bring NYC to you!

This was my first official photoshoot and the only reason my photos

came out good was because of my ultra-photogenic subjects.

most definitely, the highlight of my weekend was getting to celebrate

john lennon's 70th birthday in the park with friends.

we had blankets, a cool breeze, levain's cookies, and a biography on the big screen.

it couldn't have been better!

i've always loved the beatles, but i have a new-found love for lennon.

so much, i just might name my first-born after him.

he doesn't ask for "things", he much prefers experiences.

so that leaves me every year wracking my brain for a new "experience"

this year—personal boxing lessons!
