if we love NY as much as chicago...

...then we will be one happy bunch!

We took a little detour, headed to Gino's East,
and absolutely fell in love with Chicago.

The food was delicious, a must-visit if in town,
 and the city was gorgeous!
*I'm getting a little jealous of my Leo Burnett friends...*

I wish we could have spent more time there,
but off to NYC we go!

oh just how exciting.

And I thought I was famous just in Provo...

home of the cornhuskers.

Somehow we made it through wyoming
*with the help of some shania and doritos*
and are now in the lovely state of nebraska...
no really, it's beautiful!!

Tomorrow we'll hit iowa, illinois, indiana, and ohio.
Can't wait for some deep dish.

what was once a home is now just an empty house.

We've been super busy the past few days packing up
and cleaning out our house.
We were somehow lucky enough to even trick
our families into helping.

And as we were cleaning...
Robby and Kelsey surprised us with a
road trip survival basket.
And trust me...it's got allll the goods!

*Thank you all who helped pack and stock us up!*

Now, we just gotta wake up bright and early,
hop in our 16 foot Uhaul,
and drive to NEW YORK!!!

celebrate good times.

On Friday after graduation we threw such a fun
BBQ picnic for our friends and family.

We had Goodwood BBQ, homemade root beer, and good company.
What more could a girl want?

April 25, 2009

dang this sure feels good.

Today was quite the exciting day.

WE GRADUATED!

No more testing center, brimhall, ad lab, or teachers... Wow, I can't believe it! Todd and I got all spiffied up in our caps and gowns and strutted across that stage like nobody's business. It was great having all family and friends there to support us. Thank you all for the long drives, flights, and love you've all given us.

Now we're ready to rock it in the real world!

it's play time.

A few nights ago my family arrived in town from Dallas
for mine, hubs, and Ry's graduation.

It has been absolutely lovely being with them these past
few days and I love them. Crazy about them actually!!
As I type, my little sis is passed out on my couch
and I miss the days when we would crawl in to each other's beds.

Knowing that Todd and I are leaving for NYC in 4 days excites me
but also kills me knowing I won't be able to see them as often.

But for now, we'll love, laugh and enjoy each other.
*As hard as that me be sometimes :) *

*Chase isn't in the photo, but I'll post some later.
He leaves for his LDS mission to Oaxaca, Mexico
in a few months, and I'll miss my lil' whitie so much!

April 21, 2009

oh monday monday.

What beautiful summer sun us Provoites enjoyed today.

it was even more enjoyable with the hubs,
Little Caesars, and Big Gulps, huh?
Oh yeah.

April 18, 2009

and now, for a little bit of house cleaning.

As the hubs and I have decided to get our home in order,
we've discovered there's a lot to do!

(1) clean  (2) scavenger for packing boxes *a few trips to Smiths should do the trick–love their fruit boxes*  (3) sell our beautiful, brown sectional and King mattress *yes, that is a shout-out if you need one...*  (4) take some crates to DI  (5) paint toenails  (6) do a little cupcake decorating with Landry *I'm going to miss her so much!*

That doesn't seem too overwhelming now, does it??

nyc home.

For those who've been asking, here ya go!

Todd did such a fantastic job finding us a place to live.
It's a 1 bedroom in East Village.
We're getting more and more excited to go–just over 1 week!

I had planned to fly out early to start work at Young & Rubicam,
but have since changed my mind
*with a little persuasion from the hubs*
Instead I'll be accompanying him and a 16ft Uhaul across the country.

I can't lie, I am a little excited for the adventure.
Hopefully this time, we'll feel a more safe than we did when
going over Donner Pass on our move from San Fran.

If you have any suggestions on where to sleep, eat, play...
Please share!

date night fun.

We had just the funnest date night with our friends last night. We first went to Wiseguys Comedy Cafe and had a few chuckles. (Sinbad's coming soon—gotta get tickets!) We then followed it with a delicious steak BBQ.

We're going to miss our good friends once we move off into The Unknown. Friends, our door is always open!

And Happy Easter!!

A toast to our new life.

The tickets are bought and down-payments made, so it only seems fitting to start documenting our newfound adventures. Let's raise our glasses to crazy subway stories, longboard rides through Central Park, exhausting work hours, lots of love, and three years of fun in the Big Apple!
