a weekend with the girls {food may or may not be heavily involved}.

my sister came to nyc with her in-laws, and i couldn't help but crash the party! the whole time! i mean, hello, my sis in NYC...just like the good old' days. but i love all those lovely ladies and it was such a great time. our main agenda was to shop and eat. which is perfect since i'm pretty good at both of those.

 ***doughtnut plant was a must. and for just 5 girls, the amount of doughnuts we ordered was slightly embarrassing. :)***

***gosh, i love this girl. she's my best friend. i hope harper gets a sister because they are awesome!***

wedding day.

here are some more photos of the handsome bride & groom right after they got married. their ceremony was just beautiful, and i caught myself squeezing todd's hand and getting all mushy as i remembered our wedding 5 years ago {on saturday!}. those two are so cute together and make quite the couple!

the last two photos of me and harper are about the only two we took together all weekend. much to the bride's chagrin i'm sure, harper took center stage and was passed around to more people than i could count! at one point, i turned around to her being held by some lady that i don't believe was even in the wedding party! although i love a free babysitter, i'm happy to be home and have my little girl all to myself.

it was an amazing week of celebrations, and i am thrilled for this new couple.

my little sis is staying with us this summer,

and i couldn't be more thrilled.

she's pretty adorable and my best friend.

we started the summer off right by doing my favorite thing in town—

since her bf was in town, we took a double date across the bridge, 

and enjoyed delicious food, great company, and ridiculously perfect weather.

yesterday was such a wonderful day as sydney found out she was

accepted to byu! she's worked her butt off this year and even took the act three times

to get the score she wanted. she definitely deserves this, and I am so proud of her!

it's play time.

A few nights ago my family arrived in town from Dallas

for mine, hubs, and Ry's graduation. 

It has been absolutely lovely being with them these past 

few days and I love them. Crazy about them actually!! 

As I type, my little sis is passed out on my couch 

and I miss the days when we would crawl in to each other's beds. 

Knowing that Todd and I are leaving for NYC in 4 days excites me 

but also kills me knowing I won't be able to see them as often. 

But for now, we'll love, laugh and enjoy each other.

He leaves for his LDS mission to Oaxaca, Mexico 

in a few months, and I'll miss my lil' whitie so much!
