'til we meet again.

See ya back here for Christmas!

regis and kelly.

Friday morning, my mom and I were able to go to Live with Regis & Kelly! Unfortunately Regis
was gone, so Anderson Cooper was sitting in for him.While we were a little bummed that Regis wasn't
there, Anderson was just hilarious {and super handsome}.

During the commercial breaks Kelly would grab the mic to joke and laugh with the audience. She was
just adorable and tiny.
And I mean teenie tinyyyy. Freaking precious!

{my apologies for such blurry pics}

with a little persistance...

...miracles happen!!
{again.}

Standing in line for the 2nd night in a row. We thought are chances were better since the temperature
dropped to the 30's & it was rainy, but the line was LONGER! Apparently everyone thought their
chances were better.Our luck turned once we found this lucky penny on the ground
And "Laneeda Lucero" was called!
The show was AMAZING! Just as good as the first time.
And once again, all the songs are stuck in my head.

how much weight can we gain in a week?

Today was another fun-filled day that makes me so excited to be living in the city, and twice as much when it's with my mom. We were supposed to go to Good Morning America this morning, but 5:15 a.m. rolled by way too early...and we slept in.

Once we finally woke up, we headed to a matinee of Whip It with Ellen Page and Drew Barrymore. I love Ellen Page's wit, and it turned out being a pretty funny movie. I'd recommend it. The movie followed with a needed trip to Shake Shack! That's right, once {or twice} a week has become the usual.

Walking off our lunch through Central Park. A bit breezy and cool,
but it was so beautiful seeing the changing of the leaves.

A chilly walk across the Brooklyn Bridge.

i love nyc with my mom!!

My mom has FINALLY come to visit and we haven't stopped eating!! (at least we're walking alot, right?) 10 minutes after she arrived, we conveniently passed by Crumbs Bakery on the way home to introduce her to the City's finest!
{although I prefer Crumbs cupcakes way more over Magnolia's, I hear the banana pudding is
delicious...we'll have to try it out tomorrow}
The rink is up in Rockefeller Plaza, and it gets me SO excited for Christmas! And it was so adorable
there was a proposal on the rink while we were there! How romantic.

a weekend together.

I don't know if it was the long work week {for Todd that is} or what, but once the weekend rolled around we were just drained!

So we decided to have an "us" weekend.

And it was lovely.

Earlier Friday, Todd had discovered Battery Park City while fishing with the scouts and was dying to
take me. So Saturday night, we grabbed the long board, put on some mittens, and headed down to
explore.

It was so enjoyable riding along the Hudson with my handsome husband and imagining ourselves sailing
around the world one day on a beautiful yacht like the ones docked in the harbor....someday.

Todd's work nights have gradually gotten longer and looonnnggerr, so any time we can
spend together is thoroughly enjoyed.

The night reminded me of us back in Provo.
Dating.

And falling in love.

ny rangers game.

After a morning of events, Todd's birthday got even better once my dad surprised him with 2 tickets to
the sold-out home opener for the NY Rangers. Todd L-O-V-E-S hockey and was just ecstatic about the
news {and so was I, as it would be my first hockey game ever!}

We excitedly arrived at Madison Square Garden {which was surprisingly dumpy and still furnished from
the 70s} and enjoyed a great win.

The Blue Man Group opened the game and a fist fight on the rink ended it--
doesn't get much better than that!!

"he flies through the air with the greatest of ease..."

NYC Trapeze School!
At this point, I think Todd was a little skeptical of the situation. He thought carny folk might jump down from the rafters as the two-headed man came out of the closet.
I was really surprised how quickly everything went down. They trained for their first jump for about 3 minutes and then were up on the ladder and jumping before you knew it.
Todd climbing up the ladder for his first jump. He said the scariestthing about this whole experience was just the ladder climb itself!

Grand Finale

it's a birthday party!!

In celebration of Todd turning the BIG 2-6 we enjoyed a fun dinner at Lombardi's with friends, followed by some {homemade} cake and ice cream back at the house! It was such a great night and we're so grateful for all of our friends in NYC.
So happy for my birthday boy!
My beautiful house that Taylor helped decorate! Unfortunately they couldn't make it to the party, but I ate some extra cake in her memory!
{looks even better once full with friends}
I had to stop with just 12 candles. I didn't want any
fire hazards on Birthday-Eve
Todd opening up an early bday present... he would have
never guessed it was a trapeze class early the next morning!

today was mommy group.

I went. And I shall go again.

Every week the mommy's in my ward get their kids together to eat, play, and chat to pass the time before their husbands get home from work. I'd been invited to join the ladies before but always thought it to be a bit odd that I {the most baby-less girl in NY} participate. But once my internship ended and my excuses ran thin, I decided I should give it a try. Luckily I had my wingman Taylor their to back me up as we walked stroller-less among the festivities.

After a brief and chilly stint at Madison Square Park playground we wrangled the strollers together and headed to Shake Shack for some burgers and shakes while the kids played in the gravel {come on, it's nyc. It's not called the concrete jungle for nothing!}

Although the day had started with a little skepticism it definitely ended in a success. It's such a great way to meet the friendly and, not to mention, completely adorable women in my ward.

Mommy Group Forever.
